VSP Patients

Please make sure your eycare provider is VSP IN-NETWORK

and not just “accepts VSP.”

Dr. Nguyen is now in-network at his new office. The old office was NOT in-network.

Morgan Hill Eyecare Optometry is IN-NETWORK with VSP. Please make sure that when you make an appointment (with any office, not just our office), make sure you ask if the office is “IN-NETWORK” and not just “do you accept VSP?”

Many offices “accept VSP” but are NOT in-network and will simply provide you with a tiny discount. By visiting an In-Network office, you will receive the FULL benefits of your vision insurance as negotiated by VSP and your employer or insurance group.

Dr. Nguyen’s old practice located on Cochrane Rd (the office adjoining the Site for Sore Eyes) was NOT in-network with VSP, nor was the adjoining optical where you purchased eyeglasses or sunglasses. If you have purchased glasses in the past from there, you will see the huge difference in prices once you go In-Network.

Google™ Patients:

Most Google employees have a Second Pair policy through VSP that was negotiated by Google. Patients with this policy are able to choose a second pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses and receive the same benefits as the first pair. Morgan Hill Eyecare Optometry also provides a 40% discount on the second pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses and if we calculate that our in-house discount is better than the VSP/Google Second Pair policy, we will apply whichever discount saves you more money.

Unfortunately, the Google Second Pair policy through VSP can not be used for coordination of benefits on the first pair of glasses. You must purchase a second frame/lenses to use your Second Pair policy.

Apple™ Patients:

Apple employees nearly universally have VSP vision insurance. We have been providing eyecare services for Apple employees for a long time and hope to continue to provide the same level of care that exceeds your expectations. We also offer a much larger selection of eyeglasses or sunglasses than what is offered at the Apple in-house optical.
